My windshield is cracked. If I don't get it fixed right away, is the crack likely to run ?
Heavy winds, one more road hazard kicked up by the tires of another vehicle impacting the glass, or a swing of the outdoor temperature, are all factors that can worsen the damage and lead a crack to run. How much does a repair or a replacement cost ?
Costs will vary depending on the model and the year of your vehicle.
Do I need to file my claim to the insurance company myself ?

How much time does a windshield repair or replacement take ?
Having your windshield repaired will take between 10 to 15 minutes*, but add another 45 minutes for the resin to dry.
For its part, a windshield replacement requires approximately two hours: one hour for the installation, plus another hour for the urethane adhesive around the auto glass to cure. Add another 30 minutes for the recalibration of the driver's assistance system, depending on your vehicle model.
*A repair or a replacement may take a bit more time depending on the availability of technicians.
How do I know if my windshield can be repaired ?
You are uncertain as to whether or not your windshield can be repaired? A repair is possible if the following conditions are met:
- The crack is less than a dollar coin in diameter;
- The crack is not in front of the steering wheel;
- The crack is less than 4 cm from the windshield edge.
